|
| SDSL Broadband is the latest
high-speed broadband service available in the UK. |
| |
| SDSL stands for Symmetric
Digital Subscriber Line and is a technology that
turns an ordinary copper telephone line into a high-speed
digital connection. |
| |
| The advantages of using SDSL Broadband
to a business are huge: |
| |
 |
Synchronous service
- same speed uploading and downloading. |
|
 |
Always on service
- no need to connect - its available instantly
24 hours a day. |
|
 |
No additional
costs - a single monthly subscription. |
|
 |
Up to 40 x faster
than dialup and 20 x faster than ISDN. |
 |
Can be used to
connect an entire office to the Internet. |
 |
Offers huge cost
savings over a similar speed leased line. |
|
|
| |
| A 2mb SDSL connection from NDO
costs just over £4,000 a year whereas a 2mb leased line
would cost in excess of £12,000 a year. By using SDSL
Broadband from NDO you could save around £8,000 a year. |
| |
| SDSL is available in 100
major UK metroplitan areas of the UK - check here to
see if your area is covered. |
| |
| Due to the way SDSL is delivered
there are limitations on the speed available and this
is based on distance from your local exchange. The graph
below shows the distance limits on SDSL compared to
those of ADSL. Remember however that SDSL is the same
speed in both directions whereas ADSL is limited to
256k upstream. |
| |
 |
| |
| When you order SDSL Broadband
from NDO, all the equipment needed is included in the
setup price. We will supply a router which converts
the SDSL connection into an Ethernet port that can be
connected either directly to a single computer, a hub
or switch for sharing between multiple computers. |
