It is important that you clearly understand how to obtain Outlook with Hosted Microsoft Exchange and that the set up process is made as simple as possible.
 
The following gives the information we need to collect for the service to be set up. Most of this information will be colleted in the sign up form. On receipt of the completed sign up form a representative from Touchcomms will contact you to discuss the set up of the service.
 
Your current internet access type
To use Outlook with hosted Microsoft Exchange it is important that you have a broadband internet connection (min recommended 128k). If you do not have a broadband Internet connection you can check the availability of broadband in your area by phoning sales on 0870 808 0086
 
1. Your companies' details
  Your full companies contact details.
2. Administrator details
  This will be the details of who is going to be responsible in your company for administrating your account.
3. Domain name information
  To use the hosted MSE service you will need to provide us with the details of the domain name you wish to use for your users email addresses. You have three options for doing this (click the triangles for more information):
 
Transfer your domain to Touchcomms
To transfer your domain name to Touchcomms you will need to:Ask your current ISP to release your domain name. Please note if you are transferring your domain name to Touchcomms ltd it is important that you:

Check that your current web site (if you have one) can be supported by Touchcomms. Touchcomms operates Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft NT server technology. For further information please contact us.
Ensure that you have a local copy of your web site before your domain name is transferred to Touchcomms.

Once your domain name has been transferred we will provide the details for you to upload your website to our servers.
 
Point the mail record of your domain to Touchcomms
If you decide to keep your domain name with your current ISP then please read the following:

For Hosted Microsoft Exchange with Outlook to function your domain name record (mx record) needs to be pointed at our servers. This is a simple process; once we have set up your account then you can inform your current ISP to point the domain name record.

VERY IMPORTANT - Please do not arrange to change your mail record until your account has been configured and we have received your billing details. Once your mail record has been changed any current pop3 email addresses you may have will cease to function.

Please contact us if you have any questions or are unsure as to the process of changing your domain mail record.

To point your domain name mail record to the Touchcomms Microsoft Exchange platform you will need to provide your current ISP with the following details.

Transfer Mail Records*

Mail record mail.yourdomainname.co.uk (IP address: 217.28.130.40)
Back up mail record THSMTPB1.byworkwise.com (IP address: 213.166.14.22)

*Do not do this until your account is set up.
 
Point the mail record of your domain to Touchcomms
You can of course buy a new domain name from us and set this up as the domain name for your email accounts.

4. Number of licences required:
  We will need to know the initial number of licences you require. Once your account has been set up your administrator will be able to add new users.
5. Agreement to terms and conditions:
  You must agree to our terms and conditions.
6. Billing details (standing order form- print out):
  For your account to be activated we will need to receive your billing details. On completion of the sign up form you will be presented with a Touchcomms direct debit form that needs to be printed out, completed and sent to Touchcomms. If you are unable to print out the form please contact us and we can send one to you.
