| TOUCHCOMMS's ADSL Broadband allows
you to share your connection with as many computers
as you like - all using the same single ADSL connection.
However, to do this, you will need an TOUCHCOMMS
ADSL router, network cards in all
the computers with which you wish to share the connection,
network cables and a little technical knowledge.
Alternatively you can use wireless technology together
with a wireless router and wireless cards to connect
up to 127 devices. |
| |
| The following table is a guide
as to how many computers can share the various ADSL
products we offer: |

| The available bandwidth is shared
between all the computers which means that the actual
numbers able to share a connection vary depending on
usage. If the main use for the connection could be described
as light (internet surfing and mainly text-based email
with small attachments) then the user numbers are fairly
accurate, however, if the use is likely to be more than
this it is recommended that you go for a higher speed
(higher bandwidth) product. |
| |
| When choosing a product - plan
ahead - what is your use likely to be in 6, 12 or even
18 months time. If it's likely to increase then it is
easier to choose a higher speed product now. |
| |
| When sharing an ADSL connection
you will need a TOUCHCOMMS
Router which can either plug directly into your
exisiting network or you can use a TOUCHCOMMS
4 port wireless router to link up to 4 computers
directly to your ADSL connection. |
| |
| Technical Support for sharing
your connection is only available when the connection
is made using TOUCHCOMMS supplied routers. |
